Our client, Big Fish Games, is currently recruiting a French Localisation Translator to join its Cork based team in a permanent role

Due to phenomenal growth and global presence, Big Fish Games has open a new facility in Cork to support its growing European customer base. This is an excellent opportunity for some one who has a genuine interest in the technical aspects of the on-line gaming industry whilst contributing to a fun, quality focused and high performing team

Role/Opportunity:

* Translate a variety of texts for the Big Fish French Portal: www.bigfishgames.es with strong cultural
* awareness of both US and French customs
* Work with French Game Operations Coordinator to make recommendations for site improvements
* Handle additional projects for French Game Operations Coordinator as needed
* Coordinate and streamline communications between Game Operations and Customer Support
* Work with Customer Support Content Writer to implement French language standard texts
* Work with Customer Support QA Lead to develop, implement and coordinate the French language QA system coordinate linguistic resources



Skills/Experience:

* 2+ years of professional and relevant experience preferably in the gaming industry
* Third Level Qualification required in Translation and Localization
* Must be fluent in English and French with French to English and English to French translation experience
* In-depth knowledge of localization technology (such as Trados) and methods
* Exceptional problem-solving skills including demonstrated ability to think laterally when resolving
* technical glitches that arise in the translation process
* Proficient with MS Office Suite
* Understanding of Photoshop, Excel, and basic HTML a plus
* Must be flexible to travel to the US for training and work assignments
